I studied with the composer, Abraham Kaplan, when I lived in New York. He was originally from Israel and the best conductor I’ve ever known. His own compositions are from the Hebrew bible including a series of choral pieces based on psalms and also based on the kaddish. But I also sang other works with him including a requiem mass.
